Responsibilities
- Greeting customers warmly
- Answering questions about the menu
- Making recommendations
- Brewing coffee, espresso, and tea beverages according to recipes and techniques
- Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, and seating areas
- Handling payments through POS systems
- Restocking inventory (beans, cups, pastries)
- Following food safety regulations
- Operating and performing maintenance on espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in food service is often preferred but not required.
- Ability to handle and work in a fast-paced environment and learn quickly.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift, and carry heavy items (e.g., milk crates, coffee bags).
- A high school diploma or GED is often preferred.
