Barista

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers warmly
• Answering questions about the menu
• Making recommendations
• Brewing coffee, espresso, and tea beverages according to recipes and techniques
• Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, and seating areas
• Handling payments through POS systems
• Restocking inventory (beans, cups, pastries)
• Following food safety regulations
• Operating and performing maintenance on espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a barista or in food service is often preferred but not required.
• Ability to handle and work in a fast-paced environment and learn quickly.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift, and carry heavy items (e.g., milk crates, coffee bags).
• A high school diploma or GED is often preferred.
