Barista

About the role

As a Barista, you'll prepare and serve coffee/espresso beverages and small breakfast items for associates in our café. You'll greet guests with warmth, maintain a clean and inviting space while upholding food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures, and ensure every order meets our high standards. You'll also support team meetings and events by providing coffee service and snacks when needed. May at times serve as back-up support to Manager, assisting with vendor orders and overall daily operations.

Requirements

• High School diploma required
• Previous experience as a barista or in food service preferred, but not required
• Ability to work a part-time schedule of 12-15 hours per week; regular hours are 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., Monday through Friday; additional or adjusted hours may be required periodically to support business needs, special events, and coverage for team members
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and customer service skills
• Positive attitude, punctuality, and reliability in all work tasks
• Commitment to cleanliness, including personal hygiene and appearance
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient service
• Candidates must live in the Lincoln, Nebraska and surrounding areas

Pay

$16-$19 per hour, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. Final base salary compensation determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience, as well as internal equity of current team members. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
