About the role
The KCU Barista works at one of the beautiful, on-campus coffee shops, providing excellent customer service to KCU students, faculty, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a friendly manner and take food and drink orders
- Prepare and serve beverages, ranging from simple to complex
- Answer customers’ questions about menu choices
- Promote and recommend menu options to customers
- Take payment and operate point-of-sale system
- Maintain inventory and equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting, and scheduling repairs
- Keep the work environment sanitary and organized
- Evaluate and modify processes to improve efficiency and quality of service
Requirements
- Previous barista experience strongly preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Professional, friendly, and outgoing personality
