About the role

The Culinary Services Team at Givens-Aldersgate, a nonprofit continuing care retirement community, is hiring 1 PRN Barista. Weekend availability is required. This is a meaningful and vital position where you positively impact the lives of our residents, visitors, and fellow team members every day.

Schedule

Weekends: 7am – 3pm

Responsibilities

• Organize and set up dining areas for service
• Provides and explains menus to residents, including answering questions regarding nutritional and dietary information
• Take orders, serve food and beverages to residents
• Provide excellent meal service to residents and their guests
• Assists residents as needed in the dining area, i.e. carrying trays to table, refilling drinks, etc.
• Prepare coffee beverages, smoothies, quickly prepared food items, and grab and go snacks
• Perform any other duties and/or tasks on an as-needed basis requested by an authorized supervisor

Qualifications

• Experience is not required – we'll happily show you the ropes in a supportive and inclusive environment
• Must be at least 16 years old to apply

Pay

$15.00 to $17.00 per hour.
