Barista
Responsibilities
- Greeting customers in a friendly manner and taking food and drink orders
- Preparing and serving beverages, ranging from simple to elaborate ones
- Taking payment from customers
- Maintaining inventory and equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting, and scheduling repairs
- Evaluating and modifying processes to improve efficiency and quality of service
- Arrive at office at 8:30am to prepare café to open
- Café opens at 9am daily and closes at 1:30pm
- Assist with cleanup of café daily at close
- Order coffee supplies and other café supplies as necessary
- Work with the cook on processing customer orders
- Auxiliary in supplemental catering orders as necessary
Qualifications
- Listen well and communicate in a professional and friendly manner
- Practice basic safety procedures with respect to equipment and handling hot beverages
- Be efficient and organized
- Build good relationships with customers
- Maintain a clean work environment
