Barista

Better Buzz Coffee is opening a second location in the Gilbert area and is seeking Baristas to join our brand new café, expected to open in October 2026. Training will be provided at a nearby existing location (3944 S Val Vista Rd, Gilbert, AZ 85297).

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Better Buzz experience through fast, friendly, and genuine service.
• Be knowledgeable about our coffee, tea, food, and specialty drinks.
• Prepare and serve beverages and food consistently following recipe standards.
• Work all café positions — our baristas are cross-trained and adaptable, including working in our kitchens to make food to order.
• Keep our spaces clean, safe, and always ready for guests and teammates.
• Produce proper drink and food items to standard recipe specifications.
• Stock all necessary ingredients in accordance with each station's needs.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products and areas.

Requirements

• 1+ year experience in coffee, food service, or hospitality preferred.
• Passion for great coffee and exceptional guest service.
• Strong communicator with a positive, solution-oriented attitude.
• Reliable, punctual, and available for nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to work at least 22 hours each week.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Pay

Base pay is $15.15 per hour. In addition to base pay, team members receive tips averaging approximately $4 per hour. Although tips can vary and are not guaranteed, our customers regularly reward our team with generous gratuities. Actual amounts may differ based on location, hours worked, quality of service, and customer discretion. Average tips reflect 2025 reporting.
