About the role

Alyeska Resort is seeking Barista professionals to join our team in Girdwood, Alaska. You’ll prepare beverages and serve grab & go fare in a friendly, clean, and upbeat atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and connect with every guest.
• Discover customer needs and suggest products to enhance service and meet sales goals.
• Prepare beverages to Alyeska standards.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Adhere to standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing products.
• Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with duty rosters and cleaning standards.
• Present oneself professionally and demonstrate clear communication with all guests.
• Follow cash handling procedures and cash register policies.
• Contribute to store goals for increasing sales and improving profits.
• Engage in self-initiated learning.

Requirements

• Possess or obtain a Food Handlers Card (during introductory phase of employment).
• Experience in a similar server or customer service setting preferred.
• Ability to multitask while providing exceptional guest service.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.

Pay

Starting salary: from $16 per hour.
