Barista

The Barista is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. We proudly serve Starbucks Coffee for our guests, and as a Barista, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth transactions and excellent customer service. You’ll handle payments, craft beverages, assist customers, and maintain an organized checkout area. Job Duties Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each guest and maintain a safe environment. Keep bar area clean in accordance with the company’s guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department. Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the night and be able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally. Develop an efficient work pace that keeps the customers at the bar and in the dining room satisfied at all times. Provide excellent customer service by taking food and drink orders efficiently, delivering food and drink items in a timely manner and with a smile. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards. Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment, such as the espresso machine. Use equipment only as intended. Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day. Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately. Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas. Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent. Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal Provide legible communication Compute basic arithmetic Willing to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy Ability to prioritize and organize tasks Ability to think clearly, can remain calm, and solve problems using good judgment Ability to follow specific directions thoroughly Desire to understand guests’ service needs Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team Ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data Physical Requirements And Work Conditions Lift and/or carry up to50 pounds Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas Remain in stationary position for 8 hours throughout work shift Under variable temperature conditions (or extreme heat or cold) Under variable noise levels Outdoors/indoors
