About the role

Baristas deliver truly great service and create a warm, friendly atmosphere for guests. As the first employee guests typically encounter, baristas must greet everyone with a warm, genuine smile and welcome. Teamwork, confidentiality, and adherence to internal controls are essential. The role ensures service standards are met and surpassed by providing prompt, quality coffee selection, purchase, and preparation, fostering a friendly, upbeat, and clean environment for customers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Keep designated working area clean and organized.
• Operate and maintain equipment in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures.
• Prepare a variety of hand-crafted beverages and food items.
• Operate a cash register/POS system, ensuring accurate transactions and proper change; account for all cash, charge, and complimentary sales according to internal controls.
• Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all products.
• Ensure F&B areas meet company standards and comply with all applicable regulations.
• Stay up-to-date on property events and hours of operation for all F&B outlets.
• May be assigned to Food & Beverage work stations across the casino and/or hotel.
• Provide excellent guest service to both guests and internal clients.
• Adhere to all Tribal Ordinances, Regulations, AC System of Internal Controls, and Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months of related experience preferred.
• Must obtain a Riverside County Health Department card within one week of employment.
• Must complete and show proof of a Responsible Alcoholic Beverage Certificate through the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control within 60 days of employment.

Working Conditions

• Must be able to stand, move, and work throughout the property, including walking up to 1½ miles, climbing stairs, and standing for extended periods.
• May be subjected to a smoke-filled environment.
• The noise level is usually moderate but may escalate in the casino environment.
• Must be able to grasp, bend, lift, and/or carry goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. intermittently.
• Requires sufficient hand dexterity to use office equipment, including computers, calculators, and multi-line telephones.
