About the role

This part‑time bariatric surgeon position with National Wound Physician Group offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and a strong work‑life balance. Physicians provide bedside wound care across more than 3,200 facilities in 28 states, delivering modern wound management in skilled nursing facilities and long‑term acute care hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bedside wound care and become an expert in wound management.
• Participate in weekly wound rounds at each facility.
• Visit 2–3 facilities per day within a 40–60 mile radius, treating approximately 20–30 patients daily.
• Utilize cutting‑edge clinical technologies and the latest wound‑care modalities.
• Document clinical care in real‑time using a proprietary wound‑specific EMR.
• Engage in paid training and a six‑month wound‑care fellowship during onboarding.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state of practice.
• Minimum commitment of three weekdays per week (part‑time) or four to five days per week (full‑time).
• W2 employment (no work‑visa sponsorship available).

Pay

W2 full‑time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits.

Schedule

• Full‑time: Monday – Friday, 7 am – 4 pm (approximately 45 hour work week).
• Part‑time: Minimum of three weekdays per week; no nights, no call, no weekend responsibilities.
