About the role
As a Barge Crew Member, you will safely and efficiently perform general manual labor tasks such as offloading and back loading heavy equipment, tubular goods, dry pipe, rig goods, and supplies between supply vessels, barges, tugs, crew boats, and trucks to complete projects in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Work as directed by the Barge Foreman, Operator, or Oiler
- Rigging equipment and piping
- Construction work and maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness of the barge and equipment
- Inspect and maintain the condition of all rigging
- Load and offload equipment and materials to/from the barge
- Participate in the BBI Take 5 Program and utilize Stop Work Authority when necessary
Requirements
- Ability to work both in groups and individually to meet goals
- Develop strong working relationships with internal and external customers and team members
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 to 150 lbs
- Ability to climb and descend multiple flights of stairs
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time

Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Work Location
In person – Intracoastal City, Abbeville, Louisiana.
