The Master Barber is responsible for delivering premium grooming services, including haircuts, shaves, beard styling, and classic barbering treatments, aligned with the brand’s Italian grooming standards. Day-to-day tasks include consulting with clients to understand their preferences, recommending suitable styles and services, and ensuring an exceptional, personalized client experience. The role involves maintaining a clean and organized workstation, adhering to hygiene and safety protocols, and supporting the overall presentation and ambiance of the barbershop. The Master Barber also contributes to client loyalty by building long-term relationships, managing appointment schedules, and collaborating with team members to uphold service excellence. Qualifications Advanced technical barbering skills, including precision hair cutting, clipper and scissor techniques, traditional and contemporary shaving methods, and beard shaping. Strong client service and communication skills, with the ability to provide professional consultations, recommend tailored grooming solutions, and foster trust and repeat business. Knowledge of grooming products, tools, and equipment, with the ability to advise clients on aftercare and product selection that aligns with Pisterzi’s standards. Commitment to sanitation and safety best practices, including proper tool sterilization, workstation cleanliness, and adherence to local health regulations. Proven experience in upscale or luxury barbershop, salon, or grooming environments, with a portfolio or track record demonstrating high-quality work. State of New York Barber License (or equivalent required credential) in good standing. Strong time management and organizational skills, with reliability in managing appointments and working within a busy, client-focused schedule. Ability to collaborate as part of a professional grooming team, maintain a respectful, inclusive environment, and align with brand culture and service standards. Flexibility to work peak hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by client demand. Basic proficiency with digital appointment systems and point-of-sale tools is preferred.
