About the Role

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City is an award-winning gaming destination featuring over 675 slot machines, live table games, first-class amenities, and entertainment. The property includes a AAA Four Diamond rated hotel, three bars, and two restaurants, including the AAA Three Diamond rated Main + Abbey. The Bar Porter plays a key role in maintaining bar operations and ensuring exceptional guest service standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up bars for operation, including cutting fruit, stocking ice, and emptying garbage.
• Support bartenders' needs and maintain bar stock.
• Maintain a well-groomed, neat, and clean appearance with attention to sanitation and safety.
• Report maintenance problems to the Operations Supervisor.
• Work in assigned locations and shifts according to department needs.
• Maintain par levels, order bar supplies, and deliver orders.
• Sort bottles and corrugated cardboard for recycling.
• Maintain bar cleanliness in accordance with health department standards.
• Assist cocktail servers with clearing glassware and clutter from tables and slots.
• Assist other departments as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Skills and abilities are typically acquired through two months of on-the-job training or related experience.
• Prior food and beverage background is helpful but not required.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Attend required training sessions offered by Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City.
• Perform duties in compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Ensure minors are not allowed to gamble, loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
• Have knowledge of ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures related to the department.
• Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance.
• Report illegal activity to Security or appropriate levels of Management.
