About the role
As a Barback, you are responsible for transporting, stocking, and maintaining inventory of products, as well as cleaning and clearing work areas. You will support bartenders and other staff members, assist with opening and closing duties, and aid in the reordering process to ensure business and guest needs are met. Essential functions may vary by location based on client requirements and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist with opening and closing duties, such as restocking the bar with garnishes, straws, and napkins, and ensuring bartenders have clean towels and glassware
- Deliver product and use transfer sheets to maintain inventory integrity
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain the appearance of workstations and guest service areas
- Ensure the bar is well-stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer
- Check taps and appliances to ensure proper function and change out kegs as needed
- Maintain cleanliness by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash receptacles
- Provide excellent guest service and maintain a positive demeanor toward guests, customers, clients, and co-workers
- Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation
- Ensure the security of company assets
- Perform additional duties as assigned, with job responsibilities subject to change without formal notice
Requirements
- Previous food service experience preferred
- Demonstrates excellent guest service skills and the ability to prioritize and accomplish tasks quickly
- Available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
- Requires constant standing and walking
Physical Demands
- Lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing
- May require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Pay
The hourly rate for this position is $15.00 to $19.00.
