Bar Back

Location: New Orleans, LA Employment Type: Part-Time Salary: Competitive Job Description Responsible for filling and maintaining ice wells for bartenders, restocking beer and liquor as needed, as well as changing kegs. Bar backs are also responsible for prepping, storing, rotating, and stocking all garnishes for the bartenders. Bar backs should not need to told, or asked, to get something, instead they should have a constant awarnes of what's on hand in the bar and what's needed BEFORE a bartender runs out of anything and/or needs to ask for it. Requirements High School diploma or GEDMinimum of 2 years of experience in fine dining hospitality and/or casual dining restaurantAbility to handle multiple prioritiesAbility to stand for long period so time, lift 50 lbs., and bend, climb or work in confined spacesPossess written and verbal skills for effective communicationYou must have organizational and time management skills and demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skillsHelp maintance cleanliness behind bars both during and after serviceRestocking and organization of beer coolers
