Banquets Bartender - Banqueting Operations
About the role
The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external customers, with a focus on beverage service for Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati guests and cocktail servers while fostering excellent guest relations.
This role actively builds and retains guest relations, mentors team members, and ensures Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati remains a preferred choice for gaming entertainment. It requires resiliency in handling difficult guests and coworkers, maintaining company funds and equipment, and upholding a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide food and beverage service for Banquet department events.
- Create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages guests to return.
- Deliver superior customer service and positively interact with guests and team members.
- Maintain company funds and equipment in an orderly manner.
- Pour drinks according to established recipes.
- Ensure compliance with underage serving policies.
- Demonstrate specific product offerings and ordering procedures.
- Monitor and maintain proper par levels of all supplies at assigned bars.
- Communicate any issues detrimental to Hard Rock to the immediate supervisor.
- Ensure the security and accuracy of assigned bank, accountable for overages and shortages.
- Open and close the bar according to established procedures.
- Provide work direction for bar attendants assigned to the bar.
- Assist with special events or parties, including carving, cooking, setup, teardown, or other duties as needed.
- Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up tasks as assigned.
- Perform work regularly and predictably.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited bartending course or two years of outside experience in high-volume cocktail service, preferably in a hotel/casino environment.
- Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming/Lottery regulations.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
Skills
- Knowledge of mixing a wide variety of drinks.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proficiency in operating bar equipment, including cash registers, EDI liquor dispensing equipment, beverage dispensing equipment, blenders, dishwashers, and coffee machines.
- Understanding of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
