About the role
We are seeking an energetic, creative, driven, and self-motivated Banquet Set Up team member at the Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Airport. This position involves setting up all tables/chairs, table skirting, and AV equipment for banquet spaces following set-up diagrams provided.
Responsibilities
- Maintain proper uniform, clean and free of excessive wrinkles.
- Handle setting up all tables/chairs, table skirting and AV equipment for banquet space following set-up diagrams provided.
- Maintain proper uniform, clean and free of excessive wrinkles.
- Respond promptly to any guest request.
- Maintain clear and open communication between all staff for overall event success.
- Support all work areas including any side work duties for overall productivity and success of the event.
- Put back all tables/chairs, table skirting and AV equipment to storage and re-set for next event according to directions given by manager.
- Clean and wipe down work areas and complete all side duties before punching out for your shift.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Passion for service and the hospitality industry.
- Effective communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing skills.
- Attention to detail, efficiency, consistency, and organization are necessary.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Able to carry tray to shoulder weighing up to 50 lbs. without aid.
- Able to stand and/or walk entire shift.
- Able to work under pressure and keep up with a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work nights, and weekends on a full-time basis.
