About the role
Continental is seeking a Server who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, adhering to high professional standards, and ensuring flawless quality in all aspects of their work.
Responsibilities
- Takes direction from Event Managers, Culinary, Operation, and Lead staff.
- Attends pre-shift meetings with Event Managers and team to review event briefings and timings.
- Ensures set-up in all service areas is executed in a timely manner, including moving tables, chairs, and equipment.
- Identifies opportunities and ensures guest expectations are met.
- Maintains and serves appetizers and beverages during cocktail hour, providing guest services.
- Works with a dining room lead and team members to serve plated or strolling cuisine, pour water and wine tableside, and support in a fine dining environment.
- Delivers outstanding service throughout the event process.
- Uses and maintains service equipment properly at each event.
- Practices lateral service and actively looks for ways to assist others.
- Takes on additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Works as a team member to ensure cleanliness at the end of the event in all service and culinary areas.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a banquet or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift heavy items for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
