About the role

Continental is seeking a Server who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, adhering to high professional standards, and ensuring flawless quality in all aspects of their work.

Responsibilities

• Takes direction from Event Managers, Culinary, Operation, and Lead staff.
• Attends pre-shift meetings with Event Managers and team to review event briefings and timings.
• Ensures set-up in all service areas is executed in a timely manner, including moving tables, chairs, and equipment.
• Identifies opportunities and ensures guest expectations are met.
• Maintains and serves appetizers and beverages during cocktail hour, providing guest services.
• Works with a dining room lead and team members to serve plated or strolling cuisine, pour water and wine tableside, and support in a fine dining environment.
• Delivers outstanding service throughout the event process.
• Uses and maintains service equipment properly at each event.
• Practices lateral service and actively looks for ways to assist others.
• Takes on additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
• Works as a team member to ensure cleanliness at the end of the event in all service and culinary areas.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a banquet or hospitality setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift heavy items for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
