About the Role
A Banquet Server plays a critical role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing professional and efficient food and beverage service during events. Banquet Servers ensure all guests feel welcomed and attended to, following event specifications and service standards. From setup to execution, they maintain focus on detail and hospitality, working collaboratively with kitchen and event staff to ensure timely delivery of courses and adapt to guest needs in real-time. Banquet Servers also contribute to event success by maintaining cleanliness and organization, resetting spaces for subsequent events, and ensuring equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately.

Responsibilities
- Reads and understands banquet event orders.
- Provides fine-dining-level food and beverage service to guests for all events, consistent with standards of service.
- Initiates and maintains friendly and professional contact with guests, ensuring all needs are anticipated and met.
- Sets up and maintains both food and beverage stations throughout the building consistent with standards of service.
- Maintains inventory for food and beverage stations.
- Maintains all event areas and front-of-house staging areas in a tidy and organized manner.
- Participates in both the setup and cleanup of food and beverage service items.
- Works independently during slower times.
- Performs safe work by helping to create a safe and clean work environment.
- Ensures work is accurate and complete while maintaining a customer-focused, positive, and professional attitude.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent GED strongly preferred; equivalent experience may be substituted.
- 6 months to 1 year of work experience in events, banquets, or restaurants preferred.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects often.
- Ability to carry at least 8 entrees per tray.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and select holidays.
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- Must be punctual with consistent attendance.
- Must be able to respond to simple complaints or inquiries from customers.
Pay
This role pays an hourly rate of $7.25 and is tip eligible.
