Banquet Server (On-Call)

Banquet Servers deliver and serve food and beverage items in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Set banquet tables to meet function specifications.
• Carry trays up to 50 lbs.
• Serve food, beverage, and condiments/accompaniments to banquet and function clientele.
• Quietly remove china, glassware, and silverware from tables at the end of the meal period.
• Set and display food and beverages on buffet tables; push large wheeled tables to and from function rooms.
• Serve guests and clear tables.
• Deliver dirty china, silverware, and glassware to kitchen stewards’ area.
• Attend mandatory meetings and perform assigned side work (e.g., replenishing condiments, restocking side stands).
• Adhere to all state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations when serving alcoholic beverages.
• Perform general cleaning tasks to maintain health and safety standards.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Mature, pleasant, courteous, cooperative, and enthusiastic team player with good human-relations skills.
• Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
• Knowledge of table settings, service ware, and menu items; some wine knowledge.
• Ability to read, speak, and write English to communicate with guests and promote menu items.
• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. on a continuous basis.
• Ability to operate beverage and toast equipment.

Pay

$16.90 per hour.
