About the role

Highly motivated individuals with expertise in effective and efficient banquet operations that exude a passion for the hospitality industry will cultivate an exceptional guest experience while following all LTD and Brand Standards for proper event execution.

The Banquet Server and Bartender Associate is responsible for the set-up, as well as food and beverage service for all banquet functions.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that room has proper set-up for the function.
  • Collect proper glassware, ice, napkins, china, and flatware as required; check for cleanliness and polish as needed.
  • Set up tables in proper place, fold napkins, and place sugar, salt, and pepper shakers appropriately.
  • Check BEO to ensure all set-up and service requirements have been met.
  • Set up side stations in scheduled rooms.
  • Serve banquet functions as per the standards set for the Banquet Department.
  • Clear all tables and strip the room down to the tabletop (e.g., tablecloth, china, glasses) once service is completed.
  • Clean the service area immediately after the meal, ensuring all supplies and equipment are stored properly.
  • Maintain and clean all service areas used during the event, keeping floors free of debris.
  • Clean and polish all equipment used, as well as banquet chairs.
  • Maintain and clean all refrigeration units used during and after service.
  • Follow up with Banquet Manager and/or Banquet Captain for clean-up instructions.
  • Demonstrate good guest relations and serve as a role model to other staff in dress, punctuality, manners, cleanliness, and morale.
  • Clean bars, work areas, and tables.
  • Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons.
  • Mix and pour drinks, take food orders, and clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
  • Limit problems related to excessive drinking by persuading customers to stop or arranging transportation for intoxicated patrons.
  • Collect money for drinks served and check identification to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase.
  • Perform all other duties, projects, and tasks assigned by managers.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and co-workers to accurately receive and convey information.
  • Comply with Standard Operating Procedures and daily responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Sincere desire to exceed guest expectations.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle difficult people or situations.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong knowledge of banquet operations and excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and be on your feet for several hours at a time.
  • Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds, move tables and chairs, and perform bending and lifting tasks.
  • Meet attendance requirements with dependability and consistency.
  • Assertive, decisive, team-oriented, and professional demeanor.
  • Good planning and organizational skills.
