About the role
Limelight Hotels by Aspen One offer authentic and contemporary connections to their communities and the adventures that surround them. Each hotel is inspired by its location, designed with distinctive style and purposeful functionality to evoke a sense of place. This Banquet Server/Bartender position is responsible for setting up, serving, and breaking down events, ensuring prompt, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service to guests during banquets and outdoor functions. The role reports to the Director of Outlets.
Responsibilities
- Handle guest requests in a warm, friendly, professional, and efficient manner
- Maintain positive communication with kitchen personnel
- Ensure guest satisfaction and inform the Banquet Manager of guest comments and complaints
- Serve guests food and beverage according to performance standards
- Set tables and verify setup according to standards
- Maintain proper care and cleanliness of serving equipment; handle china, glass, and silverware to avoid breakage
- Assist in emergency and security procedures as directed by management
- Reset function rooms, clean banquet areas, and perform side duties as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1 year of serving, bartending, or food and beverage experience required
- 1 year of advanced beverage knowledge preferred
- TIPS Certified preferred

- Knowledge of food, beverage, and banquet products offered
- Understanding of company policies and procedures
- Basic wine knowledge
- Ability to assist customers and meet their needs effectively
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

- Ability to work under stressful circumstances
- Ability to quickly adapt to changes in processes, customer flow, environments, and tasks
- Proficiency in clear verbal and written English communication with team members and customers

- Strong attention to detail
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk, or be on your feet for extended periods
- Regularly work in wet, hot, and humid conditions for extended periods
- May be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
- Must be able to occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
