POSITION PURPOSE
To assist the banquet department with the coordination and service delivery of food and beverage experiences to our guests.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Set up tables with silverware, and other equipment per the event order
- Maintain standards of quality and service according to DoubleTree standards
- Prepare workstations
- Handle guest requests or coordinate additional assistance from the supervisor or manager
- Communicate frequently with captains, supervisors, and managers
- Maintain condition and cleanliness of banquet rooms, public areas, and storage areas
- Maintain inventory of necessary supplies
- Promote excellent guest/associate rapport by responding and completing all requests promptly, efficiently, and courteously
- Attend all scheduled meetings and training sessions
- Perform all other related duties and special projects as requested and/or assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- A high school diploma preferred
- Prior hospitality/customer service experience preferred
- Ability to respond quickly and accurately to guest requests
- Ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and efficiently
- Knowledge of appropriate table settings and proper set-up preferred
- Dependable and reliable to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation with flexibility to work varied schedules
- Attention to detail
- Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner
- Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills including the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and or carry up to 30 pounds
- Ability to stand and move throughout continuously to perform essential job functions
- Must be able to represent the company in a professional, well-groomed, and courteous manner
