Responsibilities
- Absorb event details, service expectations, timelines, and operational flow with Banquet leadership prior to each event.
- Prepare tables, linens, place settings, décor, buffet displays, beverage stations, and operational setups prior to guest arrival.
- Ensure service stations, banquet areas, and operational supplies are fully stocked, organized, and prepared prior to service periods.
- Serve plated meals, buffets, passed hors d'oeuvres, beverages, and banquet amenities according to established service standards.
- Carry trays and deliver multiple plates, beverages, and banquet items efficiently, safely, and professionally.
- Maintain attentive and responsive guest service throughout all banquet and event functions.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and professionally to requests or service concerns.
- Refill beverages, clear tables, reset service areas, and maintain event cleanliness throughout functions.
- Maintain a polished, professional, and attentive presence throughout all events and guest interactions.
- Communicate effectively with banquet captains, culinary teams, bartenders, stewarding, and fellow servers to ensure seamless event execution.
- Follow leadership direction to maintain proper service flow, event timing, and operational efficiency.
- Assist with event breakdown, linen removal, room resets, and post-event operational cleanup.
- Support additional banquet functions, resort activations, seasonal programming, and food & beverage operations as business demands require.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout banquet spaces, service stations, storage areas, and operational workspaces.
Qualifications
- Previous banquet, restaurant, hotel, resort, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Previous luxury hospitality or high-volume event experience preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality environment.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and guest service skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and maintain professionalism during high-volume events and service periods.
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the entire shift.
- Ability to safely carry trays, banquet equipment, and operational supplies throughout service periods.
- Food Handler and alcohol service certifications required or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying event schedules.
