Crescent Hotels & Resorts is honored to announce an exciting opportunity for a talented Banquet Houseperson for the grand opening of JW Marriott Reston Station Residences this Fall! Join the opening team of the first JW Marriott in Virginia! Experience a new level of luxury at JW Marriott Reston Station, a stunning 28-story landmark overlooking Reston Row, a lively urban hub with top-notch dining and entertainment. The hotel features 247 rooms across 12 floors, setting a new standard for luxury in the DMV area. With the largest luxury meeting space in Northern Virginia (35,000 sq ft), it includes two ballrooms with 20-foot ceilings, natural light, and a large skylight. The JW Residences occupy the remaining 16 floors. This architectural gem is conveniently located along the Silver Line Metro, between Dulles International and Reagan National airports.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with supervisor throughout shift to stay informed about tasks.
• Set up meeting rooms according to guest specifications, including transporting heavy materials like staging, tables, chairs, and dance floors.
• Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water.
• Break down meeting rooms after use and return equipment to storage to prepare for the next function.
• Maintain a cleaning schedule for meeting rooms and ballrooms to ensure they remain presentable.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available for regular shifts.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Ability to meet appearance standards.
• Strong communication skills with guests.
• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through crowded rooms continuously.
• Willingness to assist coworkers and be a team player.
