Banquet Houseperson - $18 per hour

About the role

As a Part-Time Banquet House Person at Le Méridien Chicago - Oakbrook Center, you will be responsible for the manual setup, breakdown, and service of all meeting rooms in accordance with Crescent’s high standards of quality.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with supervisor throughout shift to stay aware of tasks.
• Set up all meeting rooms to guest specifications, including transporting awkward and heavy materials such as staging, tables, chairs, and dance floors from storage to meeting rooms.
• Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and fresh water.
• Break down meeting rooms after events and return materials to storage to prepare for the next function.
• Maintain a cleaning schedule for meeting rooms and ballrooms to ensure they remain presentable.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Strong communication skills with guests and team members.
• Willingness to assist co-workers and work as part of a team.
• Ability to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
• Capable of lifting at least 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.
