The Pfister Hotel is seeking an individual to join its team and continue its iconic legacy of gracious service and impeccable style. Built in 1893, The Pfister Hotel has been a hotel icon for over 130 years and continues to receive AAA Four Diamond hotel status for over 50 consecutive years.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Banquet Chefs and culinary team members to prepare and execute high-volume food production for banquets, special events, and catered functions while meeting service timelines and quality standards.
- Prepare, cook, and present menu items accurately and efficiently in accordance with standardized recipes, portion controls, and food safety guidelines.
- Utilize production schedules, prep sheets, and banquet event orders (BEOs) to ensure the appropriate quantity and quality of ingredients are prepared for scheduled functions.
- Maintain a high level of consistency in food quality, taste, presentation, and portioning to ensure an exceptional guest dining experience.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, properly store and label products, and communicate supply needs to support efficient banquet operations and minimize waste.
Requirements
- Possess understanding of food safety requirements with the ability to maintain compliance in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Able to consistently follow recipes, production sheets, and portion guidelines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines.
- Possess the physical ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules based on banquet needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
