About the role

Picture yourself brightening someone’s day. As a Banquet Cook at Hilton Des Moines Downtown, you’ll prepare high-quality dishes and deliver memorable dining experiences that spread the light and warmth of hospitality to every guest.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to designated recipes and quality standards.
• Manage guest orders efficiently while ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Execute advanced cooking techniques (e.g., sauces, roasting, grilling, plating) and work a station independently as needed.
• Inspect all preparations and dishes ahead of serving to ensure they meet quality and presentation standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, keeping food service stations stocked and sanitary while following proper food handling, storage, and safety protocols.
• Manage multiple tickets/orders at once, assist with training, and step in for minor supervisory duties as needed.
• Comply with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations to ensure the highest standards of guest and team member well-being.
