Key Responsibilities
- Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) prior to each event to understand event requirements and timelines.
- Lead the setup, execution, and breakdown of banquet and Club events.
- Assign banquet staff to service stations and delegate responsibilities throughout each event.
- Ensure tables, linens, china, glassware, décor, and equipment are properly set and event-ready.
- Verify room layouts and event setups match approved diagrams and specifications.
- Conduct pre-event staff meetings to review assignments, service expectations, and event details.
- Cookinate event timing and service with the culinary team and Food & Beverage management.
- Monitor event flow and service quality, making adjustments as needed to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Ensure buffet stations, bars, and service stations remain fully stocked, organized, and presentable.
- Address operational issues during events and communicate effectively with management.
- Maintain banquet spaces by ensuring they are clean, organized, and properly reset following each event.
- Assist with training and mentoring banquet staff while promoting teamwork and high service standards.
- Uphold all Club service standards, safety policies, and sanitation procedures.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2–4 years of banquet, restaurant, hospitality, or event service experience, with previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team while maintaining exceptional service standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience interpreting Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and coordinating event execution is preferred.
- Positive, professional demeanor with members, guests, and staff.
- Commitment to providing exceptional hospitality and member service.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout scheduled shifts.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and assist with event setup and breakdown.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and occasionally noisy environment.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed for Club events.
