Banner Development Team Lead-ITS Computing Systems

Responsibilities

• Serves as technical lead for all Banner-related projects.
• Assists in all areas of Banner functional support - Financial Aid, Registrar, Admissions, and Bursar.
• Evaluates current technical processes to determine areas for improvement, pushing the group toward a culture of continuous improvement.
• Leads operational-level task assignment and project management of all Banner-related projects.
• Leads testing efforts to ensure consistent, or even automated, test plans.
• Evaluates current and new tools to determine if they provide value; reports findings to supervisor to help initiate implementation.
• Works with the IT Business Analyst to ensure project progress and project completion.
• Performs or schedules seminars, classes, or webinars for the team.
• Mentors other developers as needed on new tools or processes.
• Researches and analyzes emerging technologies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
• EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of progressive programming experience, preferably with Ellucian Banner; OR Master’s Degree and three (3) years of progressive programming experience, preferably with Ellucian Banner; OR a combination of education and experience to equal nine (9) years.
• Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects; Ability to perform technical analysis of current and new systems; Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to lead projects of any size to completion; Excellent oral and written skills.
