Join Barclays as a member of the Banks & Affiliates Financial Institutions Group, where you will support the coverage, origination, and execution of transactions involving banks, non-bank financial institutions, and affiliated entities. Your role focuses on financial evaluation, client support, and strategic advisory across a broad range of financial institutions.

About the role

This role serves as the bridge between the bank's offerings and clients' needs, ensuring mutual benefit and long-term success. You will establish and nurture profitable partnerships with both corporate and individual clients, guiding and developing relationships to deepen engagement and identify opportunities.

You will provide banking solutions to HR and corporate clients, including support for payroll, employee banking, and related financial services. Additionally, you will assess and manage financial and operational risks, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, and conduct evaluations of payment flows and transactions to identify trends, inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships to identify financial goals, challenges, and risk tolerance.
  • Analyze data from various sources, including investment portfolios and cash flow, to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
  • Research and understand client industry trends, regulatory landscapes, and competitive environments to inform strategic recommendations.
  • Design customized solutions addressing client-specific needs, incorporating a range of products and services from the bank’s portfolio.
  • Communicate the value proposition of proposed solutions, justify recommendations, and negotiate terms beneficial to both the client and the bank.
  • Provide guidance to clients on financial decisions, offering expert investment advice, risk management, and wealth management strategies.
  • Assess financial, legal, and operational risks associated with client relationships and implement measures to minimize potential losses.
  • Document all client interactions, transactions, and agreements to ensure transparency and auditability.
  • Monitor client satisfaction, revenue generated, and other relevant metrics to evaluate relationship management effectiveness.
  • Support product development, service offerings, and overall bank strategy through effective communication of findings.
  • Perform prescribed activities in a timely manner and to a high standard, driving continuous improvement.
  • Escalate breaches of policies or procedures appropriately and take responsibility for embedding new policies due to risk mitigation.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to your work.
  • Deliver work in line with relevant rules, regulations, and codes of conduct.
  • Build and maintain a network of contacts outside your immediate team and function.

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including highly detailed formulas and pivot tables.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Project management skills, with experience coordinating tasks, meeting deadlines, and delivering results in fast-paced environments.
  • Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Economic Crime frameworks, including monitoring, risk assessment, and compliance procedures.

Benefits

This role is regulated by FINRA.

Pay

Minimum Salary: $75,000
Maximum Salary: $125,000
The minimum and maximum salary information includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
