We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Bankruptcy Attorney to join our thriving legal team. This is an extraordinary opportunity for a seasoned professional to handle complex bankruptcy cases and provide comprehensive legal advice to our diverse clientele. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bankruptcy law, financial restructuring, and commercial litigation, with a proven track record of representing creditors effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Representing secured and unsecured creditors, debtors, and trustees in all aspects of Chapter 11 reorganizations and bankruptcy litigation.
  • Providing expert legal advice on insolvency and restructuring matters to clients, ensuring their rights and interests are well-protected.
  • Drafting and reviewing pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents in compliance with court rules and procedures.
  • Negotiating and mediating adversarial proceedings and contested matters to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Conducting thorough legal research and analysis on complex bankruptcy and business litigation matters.
  • Handling distressed debt transactions and advising on potential risks and opportunities.
  • Making regular court appearances, presenting cases effectively, and advocating for clients confidently.
  • Collaborating with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure efficient case management and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Bankruptcy Counsel, Bankruptcy Partner, Restructuring Attorney, or a similar role.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of bankruptcy law, creditors' rights, commercial litigation, and business bankruptcy.
  • Proven experience in handling Chapter 11 reorganizations, adversary proceedings, contested matters, and bankruptcy litigation.
  • Exceptional negotiation and mediation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
