About the role

We are looking for a friendly, experienced Sales Associate / Customer Service Team Leader who enjoys delivering 100% customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly manner as they enter the store and provide fast, efficient service.
• Process customer sales using an electronic cash register, handle money, and provide correct change.
• Refund cash for returned merchandise and/or exchange items.
• Assist with shift change by counting money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of a shift.
• Use special equipment to process specialty products, such as money orders, credit card purchases, checks, and lottery sales and redemptions.
• Check identification for restricted sales.
• Check and replenish stock on food service supplies (e.g., cups, lids, condiments, napkins, straws, stirrers).
• Clean and sanitize all equipment used for service or stocking food service products using the three-sink method.
• Clean all areas, including countertops, microwaves, shelves, floors, windows, cooler doors, food service equipment, restrooms, and parking lots.
• Clean and empty trash containers.
• Stock shelves and cooler, rotate and front-face stock, and remove damaged or out-of-code merchandise.
• Price merchandise according to the price book.
• Check in vendor deliveries using company guidelines and complete bad merchandise forms.
• Order merchandise as needed.
• Use current training materials, complete training evaluations, and provide feedback to management on the training program.
• Monitor cash levels and security procedures during shifts to ensure compliance.
• Review job assignments for completeness.
• Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned to accommodate store operational needs.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older for AR, CT, FL, LA, MI, MA, MS, MO, NC, SC, TX, TN, AZ, and CO; 21 years of age for all other states.
• Prepared to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication).
• Ability to lift 10 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Access to a car or other motorized vehicle with liability insurance.
