Banking Center Manager II

Location: Onsite at the listed banking center.

About the role

This position is responsible for the overall sales, production, profitability, and regulatory compliance of a banking center. It ensures the center delivers quality, accurate, and timely customer service.

Responsibilities

• Strategic leadership
  • Coach, lead, and manage the banking center team to execute strategic initiatives effectively.
  • Model and demonstrate First Horizon Bank (FirstPower) culture while promoting a positive work environment.
  • Increase and support associate engagement.
  • Represent the company professionally in the local market and community through civic or community involvement.
• Sales and business development
  • Implement and coach an advice-driven sales process.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching, inspect, and recognize sales activities and behaviors.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key clients and partners to expand the client base.
  • Collaborate with and refer to key line-of-business partners to promote effective One Team partnerships.
  • Develop the market area through proactive sales calls, networking, and local activities to achieve goals.
• Client Experience
  • Deliver excellent client experiences consistently and resolve issues promptly.
• Team management
  • Recruit, train, develop, and retain a high-performing retail banking center team.
  • Lead, grow, coach, and motivate associates to execute banking center routines aligned with company values.
  • Provide regular coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.
• Compliance and risk management
  • Collaborate with market operations and sales leadership to ensure compliance with bank regulations, policies, procedures, risk management, internal controls, and the First Horizon code of ethics.
  • Ensure all associates complete required training.
  • Implement effective risk management practices to minimize financial and operational risks.
• Operational efficiency
  • Lead and manage operational excellence for the banking center.
  • Monitor operational metrics and implement improvements as needed.
  • Partner with the Retail Operations team to address operational concerns.
  • Control operational and administrative expenses.
• Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Direct, coordinate, and evaluate designated units or personnel in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
  • Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work.
  • Assess performance, provide feedback and coaching, and make pay change recommendations.
  • Discipline employees and address complaints or resolve problems.
• Perform other job-related or special duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or two to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Salesforce.
• Compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations (ongoing employment contingent upon meeting requirements).
• Must pass a background credit check as part of the employment process.
