About the Role
A Banking Center Manager I is an expert educator responsible for the overall success of the assigned banking center and provides periodic management support for other banking centers. This role focuses on driving profitability through sales, ethical oversight, and superior client experience while leading banking center associates. Typically assigned to a banking center with a portfolio of fewer than 2000 demand deposit accounts.
Responsibilities
- Supervise banking center staff, including interviewing, hiring, coaching, scheduling, counseling, motivating, training, preparing and delivering performance evaluations, and terminating when appropriate. Typically supervises up to five associates.
- Conduct regular meetings and provide frequent feedback to associates to develop them and provide career growth opportunities for high performers.
- Deliver a Fast, Easy, and Personal client experience consistent with company standards in every interaction.
- Measure and manage sales based on daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeted goals.
- Market bank products to target clients inside and outside the banking center by contacting potential clients, businesses, and community organizations to generate new business and explain financial services.
- Take loan applications, quote rates, close loans, and cross-sell new products to current clients.
- Provide community education outreach to fulfill CRA commitments as directed by the Company.
- Serve as a digital expert in educating clients and associates on the bank’s digital banking platform, including online banking, mobile app features, smart ATMs/ITMs, and self-service channels.
- Observe and coach staff through role play, mentoring, and weekly O3 meetings to improve individual performance.
- Implement all banking center procedures to ensure profitable and secure operations, including audits of teller drawers and vaults, reviewing transactions, and maintaining security protocols.
- Ensure the banking center premises are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with all posting requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and associate information by enforcing security processes and policies.
- Approve scheduling and timecards in a timely manner.
- Perform banking transactions during peak times or understaffed periods, including approving/declining manager-level transactions.
- Ensure satisfactory outcomes for audits and reviews by Compliance, Internal Audit, Deposit Operations, and regulatory bodies.
- Protect all client and bank information confidentially and adhere to company policies.
- Complete monthly training to stay current on bank regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other specified duties as assigned.

Pay
This position pays a minimum of $55,100 with additional monthly incentive compensation based on achievement of established goals.
