Banking & Capital Markets Tax Director
The Opportunity
As a Banking & Capital Markets Tax Director, you will focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy. You will help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimize their tax positions. As a Director, you will set the strategic direction and lead business development efforts. You will make impactful decisions and oversee multiple projects, maintaining executive-level client relations. Translating the vision, you set the tone and inspire others to follow. Your role is crucial in driving business growth, shaping the direction of client engagements, and mentoring the next generation of leaders.
Responsibilities
Leading tax compliance efforts for banking and capital markets clients, confirming adherence to complex regulations
Developing strategic tax planning initiatives to optimize client tax positions and minimize risks of non-compliance
Overseeing the preparation and filing of tax returns, validating accuracy and compliance with current tax laws
Analyzing financial data to identify trends and opportunities for tax strategy improvements
Collaborating with executive-level clients to shape engagements and drive business growth
Mentoring and guiding teams in the execution of tax compliance and planning projects
Promoting innovation and creativity in developing new tax solutions and structures
Cultivating relationships across the PwC Network to leverage collective strengths and maximize client satisfaction
Identifying market gaps and converting opportunities into successful outcomes for the firm
What You Must Have
At least a Bachelor's degree
At least 8 years of experience
At least one of the following: Certified Public Accountant, Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity

Pay
The salary range for this position is: $150,000 - $438,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
