About the role
The Banking Associate role is a professional position within Personal & Commercial Banking at TD. This role is responsible for delivering TD's Brand promise at a store location, performing a wide range of tasks, and providing advice and educational support on banking products and services.
Responsibilities
- Processes customer transactions and opens new accounts
- Provides educational content and tools to build trust with customers
- Offers consultative support and proactive insights to customers
- Uses TD's systems and tools to engage with customers and deepen relationships
- Services customers on the teller line and platform, handling personal deposit accounts, everyday bank transactions, debit card/credit card issues, regulation E, mobile and online banking
- Manages wait times to meet with a Banker and manages customer appointments
- Manages self-generated leads, partner/retail to retail referral leads, and customer outreach activities
- Identifies and promotes opportunities to customers for products and services
- Ensures tasks are performed within established policy and procedures
- Completes all required job-specific, compliance-related training
- Ensures ongoing compliance with internal/external audit and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year experience working with customers in any capacity
- Demonstrated Customer Service skills
- Teller experience preferred
- Strong organization skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Ability to work during operating hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Experience: 1 year experience working with customers in any capacity
- Skills: Demonstrated Customer Service skills, Teller experience preferred, Strong organization skills, Excellent communication skills, Effective problem-solving skills, Ability to work during operating hours, Strong organizational skills, Ability to work independently and within deadlines, Sound judgment in decision making and problem solving, Proficient in Microsoft Office, Notary License preferred
