Banking and Commercial Finance Associate – St. Louis

About the role

Thompson Coburn is seeking a career-oriented Commercial Finance Associate with 3+ years of experience to join its commercial finance team in St. Louis. This position will be primarily lender-focused, representing banks, funds, and other financial institutions in a variety of challenging transactions, including asset-based lending, syndicated credit facilities, and commercial loan transactions.

Responsibilities

• Represent lenders (banks, funds, and financial institutions) in asset-based lending, syndicated credit facilities, and commercial loan transactions.
• Manage complex transactions from inception to closing.
• Analyze and address commercial finance structures and legal issues.
• Draft and review transaction documents.
• Collaborate within a team environment to deliver client solutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in commercial finance law, with a focus on lender representation.
• Strong understanding of asset-based lending and commercial finance structures.
• Currently licensed to practice law in Missouri.
• Exceptional academic achievement.
