Banker

Sound Credit Union is seeking a Banker / Universal Associate II to join the team at our Southcenter Branch. About the role

We offer a unique Branch Progression Model designed to provide advancement in your role and an increase in your salary through on-the-job training and structured compensation increases.

The target salary range for this position is $22.50 - $25.00 depending on previous experience and education, with a full salary range of $22.50 – $27.50. As a branch employee, you will also be eligible for a wide range of incentives tied to certain products and services, paid out quarterly. When a branch successfully meets its quarterly goals and passes the quarterly branch audit, team members receive a monetary incentive.

This position is eligible for a $2,500 Sign-On Bonus: $1,500 paid on your first paycheck and $1,000 paid after your 6-month anniversary.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing.
• Open new consumer accounts such as savings, checking, money market, certificates of deposit, minor accounts, Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs), and Health Savings Accounts.
• Accept, review, and process consumer loans.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience as a teller or equivalent customer-facing banking experience.
• Experience in opening new accounts and loans.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be bondable.
• Employer sponsorship to secure or maintain employment authorization is not available.

Schedule

This position requires an in-person schedule with shifts typically Monday – Friday, 8:45 AM – 5:15 PM or 9:15 AM – 5:45 PM, with rotating Saturdays 8:45 AM – 1:15 PM, affording a day off during the week.
