Bank Teller (Retail Support Team)
About the role
This position is a customer-facing position, which represents the bank in a professional manner, processing various types of transactions for customers, balancing cash daily, servicing and answering customer inquiries pertaining to various services and making referrals to other lines of business within the company. This position influences the overall efficiency and service level of the retail services team and requires strong customer service skills, math and accounting skills, attention to detail and the ability to adapt to a variety of work environments and markets.
Responsibilities
- Process various types of transactions for customers
- Balance cash daily
- Serve and answer customer inquiries pertaining to various services
- Made referrals to other lines of business within the company
- Influence the overall efficiency and service level of the retail services team
Requirements
- High school graduate with familiarity of the Bank's products and services
- AIB courses helpful
- Marketing and sales knowledge beneficial for making referrals
- One year of cash handling experience in a retail environment with proven math aptitude preferred
- Previous experience with personal computer input and retrieval preferred
Skills
- Proficiency with calculator and personal computer
- Well-developed human relations skills
- Ability to work in pressure situations under close supervision
- General administrative skills
- Multi-tasking skills preferred
ADA Requirements
- Vision, hearing, speech, concentration, learning, thinking, interaction with others, the ability to exercise self-control, the ability to work under stressful conditions, particularly in customer relations are necessary
Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Position requires travel between retail bank offices located in Stanly, Anson, Mecklenburg and Cabarrus counties, as needed.
