Bank Teller

Shore United Bank is seeking a Branch Banking Specialist II to join our team. As the face of the bank, you’ll build meaningful relationships while helping customers confidently manage their everyday financial needs. This front-line role blends exceptional customer service with financial expertise, ensuring each interaction is welcoming, efficient, and accurate.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with transactions, performing operational duties and processing work while maintaining audit standards, security, and control functions to protect the Bank from loss.
• Promote timely and courteous service by answering questions, providing friendly and accurate service, making proper referrals, meeting customer needs and expectations, and upholding customer service guidelines.
• Establish new banking relationships through conversations based on customers’ financial needs.
• Provide account servicing and maintenance, including address changes, ATM card disputes, online banking setup, and password resets.
• Recommend bank products and services to customers through beneficial conversations during daily transactions.
• Open new consumer and business accounts, including CDs, IRAs, and safe deposit boxes.
• Adhere to compliance with regulations and Branch operational policies and procedures, conduct branch security checks of alarm and video systems, and complete required reports accurately and timely.
• Assist the sales platform with daily pre-shift huddles, branch incentive contests, and weekly referral goals.
• Work closely with bank partners for client referrals to Merchant, Wye Financial, Commercial Relationship Managers, and Branch Lenders.
• Represent the Bank in a manner that maintains and expands positive relations with all customers, potential customers, and co-workers.
• Complete all required regulatory and compliance training (e.g., BSA, CRA, ECOA) on or before deadlines, and actively support policies, procedures, and practices that promote risk management, safety, and regulatory adherence.

Proportion of time spent on each duty will vary depending upon branch traffic and daily staffing needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1 year of experience successfully providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• 1 year of experience as a bank teller.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or similar field OR management experience can stand in lieu of bank experience.

Schedule

• Full-time, non-exempt position.
• Days of work: Monday–Friday, with rotating Saturdays (closed Sundays and all Federal Holidays).

Pay

The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $23.00 hourly. Actual compensation offered may vary based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements, and/or skill level.
