Bank Teller

About the role

Branch location: 3929 Holland Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23452 (Holland Windsor Shopping Center). This is a contract position with a Fortune 100 financial institution.

Responsibilities

• Provide members and prospective members the full range of products and services including depository accounts (checking, savings, certificate IRA, revocable trust and estate accounts), lending products, and credit/debit cards.
• Perform moderately complex platform banking functions under supervision.
• Analyze, research and resolve problems and discrepancies related to member accounts/loans.
• Assist members with submitting consumer/mortgage/equity loan, overdraft protection and credit card applications.
• Counsel current and prospective members about company products and services.
• Ensure cash and other negotiable instruments are handled properly.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell products and increase product penetration.
• Perform platform banking functions.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of cash handling experience in in-person customer service, retail, or banking industry.
• Bank teller experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and via email.
• High school diploma required.

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Must be available Monday–Friday 8:00 am–6:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am–2:30 pm. May be expected to work 2–3 Saturdays per month depending on business needs.

Pay and Benefits

Hourly rate: $21.42/hr.
