Bank Kitchen Assistant
About the role
Your role As our Bank Kitchen Assistant you will assist our Chef in preparing and cooking a variety of nutritious meals for our residents. An important part of your role will be keeping the kitchen clean, safe and tidy at all times whilst on shift. You will also help with serving meals and will interact with our residents on a daily basis - so you’ll be friendly, caring and kind whilst respecting our resident’s dignity at all times.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef in preparing and cooking a variety of nutritious meals for our residents.
- Keep the kitchen clean, safe and tidy at all times whilst on shift.
- Help with serving meals.
- Interact with our residents on a daily basis - be friendly, caring and kind whilst respecting their dignity at all times.
- Understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements such as HACCP, Health & Safety, COSHH and Environmental Health.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is in full, safe working order, immediately report any faults to the Chef and the Head Caretaker.
