Bank Community Healthcare Support Worker
About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bank Community Healthcare Support Worker to join our Community Nursing Team in West Caithness. You will provide support to patients within their own community setting, delivering a high level of care that reflects what matters to the patient. You’ll work in a team with HCSWs, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Good communication skills are essential for this role and throughout the patient care pathway to ensure patients’ needs are met.
You will work within defined parameters and scope of practice, often unsupervised, with a delegated case/workload to fulfil agreed/assessed needs with a person-centred focus. This will involve a variety of tasks within a multidisciplinary framework, such as wound care, basic vital signs, venepuncture, catheter care, and provision of equipment.
Requirements
- Ideally, you will have an SVQ 3/Level 7 qualification or be willing to work towards this once in post to meet the requirements of the HCSW framework.
- A full current driver’s licence and access to a car are essential. Pool vehicles may be available.
