Band 5 Registered Nurse – OB/GYN Office Triage

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient assessments and triage in the OB/GYN office, prioritizing cases based on urgency and clinical need.
• Administer medications, perform clinical procedures, and provide patient education on various OB/GYN conditions and treatments.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, gynaecologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with NHS documentation standards.
• Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families, addressing concerns and promoting a compassionate care environment.
• Participate in continuous professional development activities and attend mandatory training sessions to stay current with best practices in OB/GYN nursing.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Relevant experience in obstetrics and gynaecology or a similar clinical setting.
• Completion of NHS mandatory training modules.
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and data protection standards.
