Responsibilities

• Load scrap foam, skins, and/or fabric into baler.
• Continually supply baling machine with scrap and ensure finished bales are properly packed and contained with strapping wire.
• Maintain machine operation and cleanliness.
• Follow procedures such as SOPs and SEPs.
• Keep work area clean and organized throughout the shift in accordance with 5S standards.
• Mentor new employees.
• Communicate with supervisor regarding non-conforming product.
• Stop production to correct quality problems.
• Demonstrate awareness of environmental aspects and impacts.
• Report any inconsistencies or nonconformances in product and participate in corrective/preventive actions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (desirable).
• Ability to perform simple math calculations and fill out production reports.
• Good manual dexterity.
• Ability to read, understand, and comply with established company and plant policies.
• Must pass the required skills test and training evaluation checklist for the baler position.
