Key Responsibilities
- Checks shop orders/job traveler to determine priority of fans and/or wheels that need to be tested.
- Limited troubleshooting to balance equipment with supervision.
- Adds weights onto fans and/or wheels by weld or clip on, also takes off weight by grinding as needed.
- Distributes materials into and out of work area by operating forklift, bridge crane and/or pallet jack.
- Verifies calibration of balancer.
- Additional duties may be assigned, dependent upon location and product line.
- Acts, lives, and behaves by TCF Core Values.
- Performs final quality inspection of the fan/wheel.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 6+ months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Read and understand shop orders/job travelers and blueprints, safety rules, standard work instructions.
- Ability to read and speak English a plus.
- Ability to use tools in a safe and proper manner.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic Math skills.
- (Based on department, may be required to operate a forklift, overhead crane, and electric pallet jack).
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
- Continuous lifting/moving up to 25 pounds; occasional lifting/moving up to 50 pounds; frequent pulling up to 100 pounds with wheels (pallet jack).
- Continuous standing; walking; using hands to finger, handle or feel; reaching with hands and arms above shoulder height; stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; talking and hearing.
- Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching with hands and arms at waist level and below the waist; and working in limited space.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
