Bakery Team Member

Wage: $14.00 an hour

Schedule: Part-time, requiring day and weekend availability between the hours of 6am-4pm.

Responsibilities

• Produce bakery goods in the absence of bakers, department assistants, or management.
• Clean department area, including equipment, containers, storage areas, aisles, and display cases; keep products and supplies well organized.
• Operate equipment (if over 18 years of age).
• Operate price scale with knowledge of current prices.
• Price or change price tags on merchandise, referring to price list and coordinating with the scan department.
• Package merchandise according to departmental guidelines.
• Prepare and promote department samples.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and crates of merchandise, checking invoices against items received.
• Promptly clear the floor of all restocking equipment and debris.
• Rotate product according to departmental guidelines.
• Set and sign displays of merchandise to attract customers and promote sales.
• Take and process customer orders according to customer requests, ensuring product is ready on time.
• Take inventory or examine merchandise regularly to identify items needing reordering or replenishment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Regular exposure to hot temperatures while working around kitchen equipment.
