Description
Join Ukrop's Homestyle Foods as a full-time Sanitation Team Member. In this role, you'll help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment in our crossdock area. You'll play an important part in supporting our operations by ensuring all equipment and workspaces meet sanitation standards.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for facility and equipment cleaning and sanitation to ensure compliance with regulatory, food safety and environmental laws.
- Aid in ensuring that the facility is always maintained at SQF level of cleanliness.
- Ensure all sanitation, equipment and facility cleaning, programs and documentation are met according to guidelines.
- Perform housekeeping and cleaning of facility restrooms, break rooms and common areas.
- Work in conjunction with other associates in cleaning equipment.
- Ability to disassemble and assemble equipment for cleaning.
- Handle and apply cleaning and sanitizing chemicals safely.
- Follow cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
- Maintain sanitation equipment in a clean and organized manner.
- Able to follow instructions from the lead.
- Document activities when appropriate.
- Perform other tasks as required by Team Leader.
- Assisting in ensuring that the SQF system is in place and that we follow all aspects of HACCP plan, SSOPs, and GMPs throughout the plant.
- Reporting all food safety issues to an immediate supervisor.
Preferred Education And Experience
- A high school degree/equivalent preferred but not required.
- Previous food service, manufacturing or warehouse training/experience preferred.
Required Skills And Competencies
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to communicate with supervisor and coworkers.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a time driven atmosphere and follow strict timelines.
- Ability to pay attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible schedules as needed.
Working Conditions
- Standing and/or walking for a minimum of four hours.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Exposure to extreme variations in temperature caused by equipment.
- Position may require working in warm environment up to 105 degrees (oven room/sanitation Crossdock).
- Repetitive bending, reaching, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting product.
