Bakery Sales Clerk

About the role

As a Bakery Sales Clerk at Rosauers Supermarkets, you'll be the smiling face that greets customers in the bakery section. Your passion for baked goods and your knack for providing top-notch customer service will make each customer's experience exceptional. From helping customers select their favorite pastries to offering recommendations and answering questions about our delectable offerings, you'll be the go-to person for all things bakery-related.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming and positive customer experience at the bakery counter.
• Advise customers on baked goods selection and take orders.
• Weigh, price, and package purchased items, as well as process payments.
• Manage baking ingredients inventory and request the purchase of stock.
• Track ingredient expiry dates and arrange their use accordingly.
• Monitor the visual appeal and availability of baked goods on display.
• Report low baked goods stock to the Baker in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and tidy baked goods counter and perform other duties on request.
• Clean the kitchen after business hours and prepare it for the next day.
• Manage customer complaints and relay them to the Baker.
• Perform other duties to ensure the overall success of our company.

Requirements

• Candidates must be 18 years or older.
• Complete a pre-employment background check.
• Experience in a similar role.
